DNS Error
When you receive a DNS error message such as “Cannot
Find Server” do not panic. It is possible to fix the
situation. Often this type of message occurs when people
try to search something within a browser such as
Internet Explorer. Usually the case is that a connection
has been terminated somehow or the signal strength is
not strong enough on a person’s computer. However, it
could be an internal error as well. It is usually
something that can be easily corrected.
What You Do If You Receive A DNS Error Message
There are different types of DNS error messages that you
may receive besides “cannot find server”. However, the
message stating that the server cannot be found is the
most common and deserves most of the attention. The
reason why you may receive this message other than the
fact that you have a bad Internet connection (on your
end or the hosts end) is often very simple. One of the
things you can do is to make sure that you did not
mistype the URL.
Sometimes missing one letter or character in a URL (web
page address)-which is easy to do if the URL is quite
long-can cause quite a bit of problems. One of the ways
to ensure that you enter a site page address into a
search bar correctly is to copy and paste the entire URL
into it. You also need to be aware that sometimes when
you use certain search engines or DNS lookup tools that
these are often case sensitive. Therefore, if you
receive an error message or you find that a domain or IP
address supposedly does not exist you may want to try
again.
If you have done all that you can on your end to make
sure that you do not receive any other error message you
may just simply need to wait. There are a variety of
other reasons why you are not able to locate a specific
domain server. One of the other reasons why you may be
unable to obtain a name server is because it may be a
busy time of the day. It could also be that the server
is receiving too many of the same requests. In any case,
if you cannot figure out why you are receiving a DNS
error then you will want to contact the webmaster and/or
Internet host with whom the problem will need to be
addressed.
Other Dns Error Problems
You could also have a configuration problem with your
computer or someone could be attempting to attack your
name server. Beware of all possibilities and ask for
help as soon as possible regarding this.
